Eyam Brewery and Eyam Real Ale Company

I began working with this small Derbyshire company back in 2015 when I designed their logo. 2017 saw the beginning of Eyam Brewery, with the coming of five IPAs, blonde ales and bitters. Given the location of the Brewery, the logo and labels are all themed on the Black Death. Eyam, a little village in the heart of the Peak District, has a historical reputation for being the first village to actively quarantine itself from the rest of the world during the Great Plague. They suffered heavy losses but set a precedent for preventing the spread of disease that had broken out there.

After months of designs and trials, the labels for the first two IPAs were printed and the ales bottled ready for sale at the Chatsworth House Christmas Market from November-December 2017. I went up to visit the stall that first weekend, and came face to face with two of my creations!
